Statistics

The below table lists our Computer Aided Dispatch incidents by month.  The CAD system was installed in Nov. 2002.  Prior to that time, records were kept by handwritten complaint cards and logs.  The CAD system better tracks and documents incidents which is why calls for service numbers are significantly higher beginning Nov. 2002.  These numbers reflect the number of incidents reported through the center which resulted in a call being dispatched or referred to a public safety agency.

The following are the numbers of times that dispatchers utilized our medical protocols in 2004.  Ambulance Requests is a generic call classification that covers most medical calls.  We began using the protocols in March of 2004, so data is not applicable in Jan-Feb.  Prior to that time all medical calls were transferred to the ambulance service.
